This module is dedicated to an overview of the NFPA 96 code and how it applies to your work as a kitchen exhaust cleaning professional. The module will cover NFPA 96 Chapter 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.
Module 5: NFPA 96 Overview – Part 3
This module is dedicated to an overview of the NFPA 96 code and how it applies to your work as a kitchen exhaust cleaning professional. This module will cover NFPA 96 Chapter 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, Annex, and Index.
Module 6: Hood Canopies – Part 1
The goal of this module is to familiarize kitchen exhaust cleaning professionals with the purpose and function of the hood canopy. Topics will also include hood canopy types, designs, and styles.
Module 7: Hood Canopies – Part 2
The goal of this module is to familiarize kitchen exhaust cleaning professionals with the construction and size conditions of the hood canopy. The NFPA 96 requirements of a hood canopy will also be covered.
Module 8: Grease Removal Devises – Part 1
Module 8 is designed to familiarize kitchen exhaust cleaning professionals with grease removal devices, their function, and their maintenance. This educational module will cover hood filter basics and the general purpose of grease filters.
Module 9: Grease Removal Devices – Part 2
Module 9 is designed to familiarize kitchen exhaust cleaning professionals about grease removal devices, their function, and their maintenance. This educational module will cover hood filter facts and the NFPA 96 standard on grease removal devices.
Module 10: Exhaust Ducts – Part 1
Module 10 is designed to familiarize kitchen exhaust cleaning professionals about exhaust ducts, their function, and their maintenance. The module will cover the fundamentals of grease exhaust duct systems, access openings, and horizontal ducts.
Module 11: Exhaust Ducts – Part 2
Module 11 is designed to familiarize kitchen exhaust cleaning professionals about exhaust ducts, their function, and their maintenance. This module will cover duct openings, enclosure openings, labeling, construction materials, and installation.
Module 12: Air Movement – Part 1
Module 12 is designed to familiarize kitchen exhaust cleaning professionals about air movement, fans, make-up air, and more. This module will cover the fan function, types, and NFPA requirements.
Module 13: Air Movement – Part 2
Module 13 is designed to familiarize kitchen exhaust cleaning professionals about air movement, fans, make-up air, and more. This module will go more in-depth into NFPA requirements.
